Dear friends, just want to share with you all on how to make kimchi, korean food. I have tried to make it during my trip to korea on chinese new year. The ingredients which we need are the following:

Chinese cabbage

salt

carrot

onions

garlic

fresh ginger

chili powder

sugar

fish sauce

First, we cut the cabbage into strips that you place in a large bowl.Sprinkle with salt and mix well. Soak for at least one night (no need to refrigerate).The next day, rinse the strips of cabbage in cold water and drain. In another bowl, peel the ginger, carrots and slice the onions. Crush the garlic and mix with chili powder, sugar and fish sauce. Then mix it together with the cabbage. Finally the kimchi is done! Store the kimchi in clean jars or airtight containers still need to ferment at room temperature for one to two days before storing in refrigerator.

The place where i make the kimchi. Actually the sauce is already prepared by them. I just mix it with the cabbage only.

It looks not nice but it tastes nice actually!! It taste abit salty and spicy!

Korean eat kimchi everyday because they said that it is good for health and good for skin! And the kimchi is very spicy, so they enjoy eating it during winter to keep them feel warm.
